I am a girl living in San Francisco with a rabid love for cacoa products. I’m on the search for the best of the best. I’m interested in the history of cacoa and the chocolate making process, from field to table. There is so much chocolate in the world. How do I know which one is the best? Well, I don’t. So the best part is that I get to try them all. Aside from being a splendid city San Francisco has a lot to offer in terms of chocolate. So watch out chocolatiers! Here I come. Now I also have to take up jogging to counteract my chocolate exploration! I prefer yoga. I wonder how many chocolate eating yogis are out there. Hmmm. Anyone?

The environmental and economic sustainability of the chocolate industry is also very important to me. I have had the opportunity of speaking with Cate Baril, the Director of Business Development, Grocery & Ingredients; Agricultural Justice Project for Fair Trade USA, at a HUB Bay Area’s Explore the World of Chocolate, and she inspired me to look further into the subject. There are people working all over the world to make chocolate a more sustainable and humane product. I look forward to exploring!

Chocolate causes certain endocrine glands to secrete hormones that affect your feelings and behavior by making you happy. Therefore, it counteracts depression, in turn reducing the stress of depression. Your stress-free life helps you maintain a youthful disposition, both physically and mentally. So, eat lots of chocolate!
